Saturday Schedule


CTYCC 6-Stake Performance Day Schedule Saturday October 27, 2012

NOON: All youth enter via the WEST doors (as will the public).

12:00 – 12:20

South and West Stakes go into the arena. Youth put their backpacks in the designated section (West

in NW bleachers, South in East end bleachers around the Institute choir seats). Leaders will put their SKAPA tape markings on the floor, and may have their youth stand in their positions if helpful.

Foothills and Calgary Stakes gather in the South corridor to take the informational tour by Toni Young regarding traffic flow, rules of the day, and prop arrangement.

North and East Stakes go to the Archie Boyce Theatre or bathroom or dressing room. If costumes need to be put on, this is the time. If youth are already in their opening scene costume, then they can play the Temple Trivia game with Flora Spackman in the Archie Boyce.

12:20 – 12:40

South and West go to the tour
Foothills and Calgary go to the Boyce
North and East go to the arena (Backpacks on South side: East on SE section, North
in middle sections of South side)

12:40 – 1:00

South and West to Archie Boyce.
Foothills and Calgary go to the arena.
North and East go to the tour.

*By this time all youth are in their opening scene costume and all props are in place ready to go!!

1:00 – 1:10 Lineup for 6-stake Entrance – Foothills youth lead the way to form the hat outline, all the rest of the stakes come as they wish (Opening Scene, First Nations, RCMP,
Ranching scene youth strategically located for quick exits)

1:10 -1:15 Entrance to High on the Mountain Top

1:15 – 1:25 Welcome & opening comments by President Carter, followed by
Louise Campbell

1:25 – 1:37 Howdy speaker, song, Theme speaker, song

Exit to the 3 minute instrumental music, and start the WORKING dress rehearsal. Youth are welcome to sit in the stands to watch, as this is their only time to see what the other numbers are.
There will be stops as necessary to correct positioning or tape markings, but there will not be a repeat run through. If you are the next performance number, be ready to come in when it’s your turn. Plenty of time to snack and drink during the show.

1:40 – 3:40 Working dress rehearsal

3:40 – 3:50 Comments to all the stakes after white-hatting is concluded

3:50 – 4:10 Prepare for dress rehearsal (move all backpacks out of arena seating, change costume if needed, line up in corridor)

4:15 – 5:45 REAL DRESS REHEARSAL, NO STOPS

Youth will not be watching the other performers as they are to be where they will be during the actual performance. Each youth NEEDS to know where they are to be when off stage, as well as on.

5:45 – 5:55 Preshow PEP TALK and prayer

6:00 – 6:40 Sandwich Supper, Put on Opening Scene Costume, freshen make-up

Youth are NOT to be in the corridors looking for parents. All youth and leaders are to stay in backstage areas.

6:40 – 6:45 Line up with white hats on

6:50 It’s Show time!! ALL youth enter the arena to the grand entrance hymn High on the Mountain Top by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
