Hello,
Here is possibly the last reminder we will be posting prior to the youth celebration.
It all comes down to Saturday.
Reminders:
- All
youth wear white shirts, black pants and black
shoes to the corral.
- Young
Men wear black socks.
- Young Women bring leotards for your
prairie dress.
- Do not bring any regular clothes.
- Young Women need to come with their hair up in a bun or in braids.
Nobody wore their hair down in the 1890s. Nobody! All young women in he
Chinese Heritage scene must wear their hair in a bun.
- Young Women bring tights or stockings (leotards) for Ranching.
- Nativity cast
(except angels) bring an earth toned, or dark colored T-shirt to
wear under your costume to cover your white shirt.
- Ribbon
and Fan dancers wear a white camisole, or
tank top to wear under your costume if you have one.
The change rooms are going to be very busy and it will be best if you have
something on under your costume for privacy and modesty.
- Keep in mind that the costume change from Chinese Heritage to
Hockey is less than 5 minutes. You have to be able to switch VERY
quickly.
- Bring a bag lunch (or eat before you come), healthy snacks, dinner
and plenty of water. There will not be time to go out and purchase
food.
- Give yourself extra time to get through downtown traffic and find
parking.
- NO GUM.
- No use of Power Outlets.

We suggest you meet in the same area you will
be assigned to during the day – which is the NW side of the arena.
The parents can sit in the seats and wait if
they want, or be in the concourse - but at least they will know a general area
to meet up.
Lost and Found:
Here is a note we got from the
Stampede Corral:
Just wanted to let you have the lost and found contact details in case
any of the performers or people attending contact you looking for left behind
items following your performance on Saturday.
We had a few people who contacted us following Weds, so I thought it
might be useful to let you have this info to circulate.
Once your show is finished on Saturday, our building staff will do a
clean-up ready for Sundays show. Anything located will be taken to the lost and
found office situated in the Big Four Building that night, and locked away
there.
This office is open for enquiries and collections Monday – Friday 9am –
4.30pm. And the contact number is: 403 261 9347.
