Contest, Cookies & Choreography!

Song & Video Challenge

Teams:
The competition will be between 4 casting groups, divided evenly as follows--
  Team A: Dragon & Fan
Team B: Gymnasts, Lions, Percussion, Ribbon, Hockey, Narrator, Fiddle
Team C: Ranching Large Group & Core
  Team D: Nativity
Note: Although youth may be in multiple scenes, each has a primary scene that they are assigned to. Refer to the Cast (Ward) page to see which casting group you are in.

Scoring:
Winning team is the one with highest point total for the night, scored as follows:
3 points - Attendance at rehearsal (max 3 points)
3 points - Visit the website three different days since previous rehearsal (1 per day, max 3 points)
3 points - Listen to all 5 song tracks (no limit)
1 point - Watch all three choreography videos (no limit)
Note: scores are counted from end of previous rehearsal.

For example someone who is in attendance, has visited the website on Sunday and on Monday, has listened to all 5 music tracks 10 times through (takes about 2.5 hours), and has watched all three choreo videos 12 times through (takes about 1 hour) would earn 3 + 2 + (3 x 10) + (1 x 12) = 47 points.

Prizes:
Winning team gets ~10 dozen cookies (ie: ~8 bags of Oreos or similar)
Highest individual total gets one bag of cookies and a carton of milk.

Leaders will record scores during attendance and will tabulate totals during first session. Awards given at first break, supplied by Derek & Steve. Prizes can vary from week to week, based on what is on sale and how much we have eaten for lunch that day.

Ready, set, GO!

  1. So, Jake Evans was able to win the individual prize with only 15 points. I think it will take considerably more points than that to win next week. I would be surprised if someone doesn't shoot for 100 points or more.

The winning team (Team B) got nearly 300 points, which equates to an average of about 5 points per person. The other teams averaged closer to 3.5 points per person. There were just a few people on Team B that pushed them out ahead. A good effort by a handful of people could get your team the prize.
